Coppa Italia winners Bologna will host Genoa at the Dall’Ara in their final Serie A match of the 2024-25 season on Saturday evening with Europa League qualification already wrapped up for Vincenzo Italiano and his side.
Serie A action resumes with Bologna-Genoa following Napoli’s Scudetto-winning victory over Cagliari at the Stadio Maradona on Friday night. Inter did their best with a 2-0 win away against Como, but have finished the season one point shy of Antonio Conte’s side.
Bologna sit in eighth place ahead of today’s kick-off, and could jump as high as sixth in the table with a victory against Patrick Vieira’s side, who are guaranteed to finish the season in 13th, regardless of today’s result or any other Serie A game this weekend.
Despite beating Milan to the Coppa Italia 10 days ago, Vincenzo Italiano’s side have not won in any of their four Serie A matches since their 1-0 victory over Champions League finalists Inter on April 20.
Genoa have not tasted victory in six league matches, dating back to a 1-0 win at home against Udinese on April 4.
Today’s kick off is due at 17.00 BST.
