Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has hit out at Erling Haaland in a hilarious new promotional campaign for mobile video game Clash of Clans.

Clash of Clans unveiled their brand new surprise character in Manchester City and Norway international superstar Erling Haaland last month, with an animated version of the striker becoming the Barbarian King in the game.

Players of the hugely popular mobile game, which has been downloaded more than two billion times since it was released over a decade ago, are now able to recruit the 23-year-old forward to join them, or try to ruin his village.

Erling Haaland himself is known to be a long-time fan of Clash of Clans, and said that becoming a playable character within the game, and the first to be based on a real person, was “really cool”.

But the collaborations with the football world have not stopped with Erling Haaland, with Clash of Clans fulfilling a number of high-profile campaigns with a number of footballing legends, including Ronaldo and Ronaldinho.

Speaking during the new promotional video released across a number of channels, including his own personal accounts, Argentine football legend Sergio Aguero is seen to be calling out Erling Haaland for copying everything that he does.

“Erling, everything I do, he does too,” Aguero said. “I play for a team, he plays for the same team. I break a record, he breaks my record. I get into video games, and he gets into a video game. Seriously, can you leave me alone?”

Haaland’s rise to the very top of football is continuing on the field, as much as it is off it, and he and his Manchester City teammates could follow their remarkable Treble-winning campaign of 2022/23 with a fourth successive Premier League title this season.

City are just one win away from defeating Arsenal to the English top-flight crown, and face West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon, whilst Mikel Arteta’s side take on Everton at the Emirates Stadium.
