John Obi Mikel offers a brutal response to whether Chelsea should buy, keep, or sell one of their first team players from this season.

This news comes after Chelsea beat Real Betis to win the Conference League a week ago today after being a goal down at half time and turning it around.

The Blues ended up winning the game 4-1 in the end after a bit of a Cole Palmer masterclass in the second half, providing two beautiful assists for his team mates to grab crucial goals.

Although head coach Enzo Maresca is once again not willing to get carried away after this by insisting that Chelsea’s target for next season is not going to be winning the Champions League!

Mikel makes some decisions

The Telegraph have put out an article today interviewing former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel and asking him which current players in the squad he would keep, loan, or sell.

Jon Obi Mikel passionate about Chelsea struggles.

It’s something that fan sites do a lot and something fun to do, but I guess it is really interesting to get the perspective of a former player and what they think about the current squad, for sure.

Brutal response for Badiashile

Mikel provided some pretty detailed responses to most of the other players, but for Benoit Badiashile, he simply replied:

“Sell. He’s not a Chelsea centre-back.”

Straight to the point, but I don’t think there would be many Chelsea fans who disagree with him on this one – Badiashile needs to go and is likely to be sold during this summer’s transfer window anyway.
