MIAMI – The Leagues Cup 2025 continued with six matches on Thursday as part of Phase One of the Concacaf-sanctioned competition between MLS and Liga MX clubs, as they battle for the crown and three spots in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup.

Five MLS sides were on the winning end while FC Juárez was the lone Liga MX winner on the night.

CF Monterrey 2-3 FC Cincinnati

FC Cincinnati earned a 3-2 victory against CF Monterrey at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.

Evander and Sergio Canales traded goals in the first half before the MLS side would retake the lead in the 53’ through Luca Orellano.

Pavel Bucha struck in the 90’ for FC Cincy to all but seal the win. Rayados fought back, with German Berterame getting on the board in the 90’+4’ as the comeback fell short.

CD Guadalajara 0-1 New York Red Bulls

New York Red Bulls took a 1-nil win over Chivas at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, USA.

Emil Forsberg struck on the last offensive play of the match, off a free kick in the 90’+7’, to earn the full three points.

Charlotte FC 1-4 FC Juárez

FC Juárez earned a 4-1 victory over Charlotte FC at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.

Brazilian forward Madson had a brace in the first half, striking in the 7’ and 21’, to offset a goal from Idan Toklomati for the hosts in the 18’.

Moisés Mosquera scored in first-half stoppage time, while Óscar Estupiñán struck in the 90’ to help their club persevere as the only victorious Mexican side on the night.

Colorado Rapids 2-1 Santos Laguna

The Colorado Rapids earned a 2-1 win over Club Santos Laguna at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado, USA.

Jordan Carrillo placed the Liga MX side in front in the 63, but Rafael Navarro answered with a brace for the home side with goals in the 62’ and 87’.

Santos goalkeeper Carlos Acevedo received a red card in the 90’+7’ and will miss the club’s next match.

Cruz Azul 0-7 Seattle Sounders FC

Seattle Sounders FC was victorious 7-nil over Cruz Azul at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, USA.

After a scoreless first half, the MLS opened the floodgates with goals from Yeimar Gómez Andrade in the 48’, Obed Vargas in the 50’, Jesús Ferreira in the 58’, Osaze De Rosario in the 69’, Pedro de la Vega in the 76’, Nouhou Tolo in the 88’ and de la Vega again in the 90’+1’.

LA Galaxy 5-2 Club Tijuana

LA Galaxy earned a 5-2 win over Club Tijuana at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, USA.

Matheus Nascimento converted from the penalty spot in the 16’ to put the hosts up. Xolos would tie in the 21’ through 16-year-old Gilberto Mora.

Gabriel Pec put the Galaxy back up in the 39’ before Mora collected his brace in the 59’.

Joseph Paintsil would retake the lead for the MLS Cup champions in the 65’. Marco Reus put the score further out of reach in the 82’ before Paintsil completed his brace in the 90’+1’.
