His second corner set up Emre Can for the goal that made it 2-0 in the 42nd minute. Thirty minutes later, Maxi Beier headed another Schlotterbeck corner into the net for 3-0. It was the first time in his career that Nico Schlotterbeck has directly assisted two goals in one match.

The 25-year-old additionally registered four shots at goal (only Karim Adeyemi and Beier had as many). He also had the most phases of possession of any BVB player (81) and won a good 63% of his challenges.
