“I know I won’t start the games, but the opportunity can come with time. I can play 10 or 20 minutes and give my contribution to help the team. This is what I’m focusing on every day: working hard during training.”

“Sometimes, when I finish the training session with the team, I go to the gym. I have to live up to the choice I made, but obviously it’s not an easy process in a European league.”

“I wake up at 7 in the morning, but before that I get up at 5 to pray. Then the driver takes me to Trigoria around 8:30 and I stay there until 14:30.”

“I spend almost the whole day with the team. The difference is that in Europe we train in the morning and it’s the first time for me.”

“They put me in a WhatsApp group in Italian and another big problem was translating the chats into English or Arabic. Sometimes I asked to write to me in English to make the translation easier.”

“Will I learn Italian? Of course, I have already arranged with a teacher to learn the language. I have to do it to integrate. I chat with my teammates, but they don’t speak English fluently. 6-7 of them speak English.”

“It’s a great moment in my life, but getting used to training in the morning took time, I have to go to sleep between 9 and 10 at night. It feels like we’re back in school, but now I’m happy with this life program, it’s healthy, having adapted has done me good and I feel the difference in training.”
