England manager Sarina Wiegman has issued an injury update ahead of the Women’s Euro 2025 semi-final showdown against Italy.

The Lionesses overcame Sweden via a dramatic penalty shootout victory in the quarter-final last Thursday but had several injury concerns coming out of the game.

Leah Williamson, Lucy Bronze and Lauren James all emerged as doubts after picking up knocks against the Swedes but the trio were present, along with the rest of the squad, in training on Monday morning.

As a result, Wiegman is set to have a full squad to choose from against Le Azzurre as she plots a route to a second successive Euro final for the current holders.

Confirming the dream scenario in the pre-match press conference on Monday, Wiegman said: “That’s what it looks like.

"We have headaches all the time, because a lot of players can start.

"That’s what makes the team strong. Before every game we take a lot of things into consideration, we will also do that tomorrow."

Wiegman also rejected suggestions that the Lionesses are the favourites for the semi-final showdown despite being eight places above Italy in the world rankings.

"I think it would be really disrespectful to Italy to think we are the favourites,” she added. “They made the semi-final like we did, it’s impressive for any team to make the semis.

"Complacency is the biggest mistake any team could make. We’ve seen how they've played. I don’t think there’s any way we could think we are the favourite.

“We have to be at our very best to win the game."
