Saint-Étienne negotiating loan for Aston Villa’s Kosta Nedeljković | OneFootball

According to a report from L’Équipe, AS Saint-Étienne are negotiating a loan agreement with Aston Villa for the right-back Kosta Nedeljković (19). The fullback who is under contract with the Premier League side until 2029 has made nine appearances this season across all competitions.

Nedeljković only joined Aston Villa from his formative club Red Star Belgrade during the summer. Despite his young age, the teenager has already earned his first caps for the Serbian national team.

Saint-Étienne had been linked with another Serbian right-back this winter. The club were reportedly very close to securing the signature of Ognjen Mimović from Red Star Belgrade. However, it looks as if he has instead opted to join the Turkish club Fenerbahçe.

Les Verts are looking to strengthen for the final stretch of the season as they try and fend off the drop back to Ligue 2. Last weekend, the club were able to escape the relegation playoff spot following a draw with AJ Auxerre.
