Saelemaekers returns to Milan after Roma loan: “I’m here to stay” | OneFootball

Alexis Saelemaekers is back at Milan after spending last season on loan at Roma, and the Belgian winger is determined to make his mark.

Speaking to Milan TV on the first day of preseason under new coach Massimiliano Allegri, Saelemaekers shared his enthusiasm and renewed motivation.

“I’m here now to stay,” confirmed the wide-man. “I’m happy to be back — I missed this place. Now it’s time to do something great this year.”

Reflecting on his last two loan experiences at Bologna and Roma, Saelemaekers acknowledged how the time away helped him grow:

“Going on loan to other clubs was a valuable experience — it helped me mature,” he explained.

“But now I have this feeling of wanting to reclaim a place here (at Milan), and I hope to do it with the whole team. It’s always nice to see everyone here at Milanello again — it feels like a family.”

With his return to Milan, Saelemaekers is eager to write a new chapter and contribute to the Rossoneri’s ambitions in the 2025/26 campaign.
