Manchester City and Portugal international superstar defender Ruben Dias is reportedly single after ‘dumping’ Love Island personality Arabella Chi.

Dias has been at the centre of everything excellent for the reigning Premier League champions so far this season, with his personal life being a welcome distraction for the centre-back away from the intensity of City’s footballing schedule.

It was widely circulated across several tabloid newspapers that the Manchester City defensive mainstay has been dating one of the UK’s most notable TV stars, with Arabella Chi from Love Island’s Series 5.

However, fresh reports following the return of the model to the TV show’s revamped series featuring past stars this week, sparking a flurry of conversation online that has since been developed upon by newspapers.

According to the information of The Sun newspaper, Love Island star Arabella Chi has been ‘dumped’ by Manchester City defender Ruben Dias, sparking her return to the TV show this week in order to ‘find a new man’.

The report states that the 32-year-old model was left ‘heartbroken’ when the 26-year-old Portugal international defender ‘gave her the boot’ upon returning from a New Year break together.

The couple had been dating since September 2023, with Arabella Chi reportedly flying back and forth from her home in Ibiza and Manchester to be with Manchester City’s treble-winning superstar.

Ruben Dias is currently away in the middle-east with his Manchester City staff and teammates, as Pep Guardiola and his camp undergo a warm weather training camp before returning to competitive duties on Friday night.

The reigning FA Cup holders take on action in the competition with a trip to the capital in the fourth round of the tournament, with Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur standing between themselves and a fifth round place.

A 5-0 win in round three over Championship strugglers Huddersfield Town preceded this week’s contest, while a Premier League meeting against Burnley at the end of the month will mark the end of Manchester City’s relatively relaxed January schedule.
