Roma waiting on Friedkin’s green light to sign Pessina

The summer transfer window is now nearing its conclusion: the deadline for negotiations is 8:00 PM on Monday, September 1st, and Roma is among the clubs trying to finalize deals that have been pending for days.

The Giallorossi are trying to complete their squad to make available to coach Gian Piero Gasperini, and among the Roman club’s targets is Monza midfielder Matteo Pessina.

According to Matteo Moretto’s YouTube report, the player is very close to joining the Giallorossi, and all that’s missing is the Friedkins’ approval to complete the deal.

Gasperini himself, who coached him when they both were at Atalanta, knows Pessina well, has approved the transfer, and is pushing to have him join the squad.
