Adding an attacker is next on the agenda for Roma, and they have set their sights on Claudio Echeverri, who hasn’t starred regularly since moving from River Plate to Manchester City.

Still, Gian Piero Gasperini isn’t necessarily fixated on using inverted wingers, and the most menacing solution would be simply to use Paulo Dybala and Matias Soulé together as often as they can. Tommaso Baldanzi is also in the mix, and Neil El Aynaoui could turn out to be a better weapon as a no.10 than in the midfield. They can take their time to find the right solution rather than just groom and valorize a youngster for another team.
