Roma are not giving up hope on signing Davide Frattesi in a deal that would see Bryan Cristante go the other way to Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
There’s now no doubt that Roma want to sign Frattesi from Inter.
The 25-year-old reportedly wants out from the Nerazzurri. He is unhappy with his lack of playing time and would like to join a team where he’s a first-choice starter, even as early as this month.
That has given Roma hope that they will be able to sign Frattesi.
However, the finances involved in a deal would certainly not be easy for the capital club.
One of the main ideas that Roma have to bring a deal for Frattesi within reach is to offer midfielder Bryan Cristante going the other way.
Naturally, particularly considering that Frattesi and Cristante are five years apart in age, there’s a big difference in valuation.
That means that Roma would still need to pay a significant fee.
But the Giallorossi hope that the inclusion of Cristante could make an agreement for Frattesi a little more feasible.
