Roma make opening bid for Lens’s Neil El Aynaoui | OneFootball

According to a report from Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto, RC Lens have received an opening bid from AS Roma for Neil El Aynaoui (24).

It’s shaping up to be another busy window for Les Sang et Or, who have sold most of their bankable assets in the past year. In the past year, the club have sold Elye Wahi, Brice Samba, Abudkodir Khusanov, Przemyslaw Frankowski, and Kevin Danso.

And this summer has been no exception, with Facundo Medina leaving on loan (but with a compulsory transfer clause) for Olympique de Marseille. El Aynaoui could be the latest to head for the exit door.

However, Roma will need to stump up more than their initial €20m bid to convince Lens to part ways with a midfielder who cost them €600k in 2023 when he was plucked from AS Nancy. The Italian club are not the only team interested, and Juventus and Aston Villa have both been previously linked.
