Arnautovic is a player whose future does not look to be long at Inter.

Whether or not the 35-year-old is to leave during the January transfer window, he will certainly be heading for the exit door in the summer. His contract with Inter runs out at the end of June.

But Arnautovic could even depart as early as during the January window.

The Austrian has not found much in the way of playing time this season. In recent weeks, it has been Mehdi Taremi who has gotten the nod as the main backup in attack.

And furthermore, the emergence of Joaquin Correa as a full-fledged member of the first team squad has also naturally eaten into Arnautovic’s playing time.

Roma Eye Up A Move For Inter Striker Marko Arnautovic – Must Sell Shomerodov First

According to the Corriere, Roma are among the teams with an interest in Arnautovic.

The club from the Italian capital could move for the former West Ham United and Bologna striker this month.

Roma are aiming to sign a backup for Artem Dovbyk in attack. And they want a striker with a similar profile to the Ukrainian – a real physical presence to lead the line.

Arnautovic would certainly check that box. Moreover, he is proven in Serie A, with both Inter and Bologna.

Therefore, Roma would see Arnautovic as a target to bolster their attacking depth for the second half of the season.

But the Giallorossi would first have to find a new club for striker Eldor Shomurodov.
