There are growing reports Roma are hopeful of securing Tyrique George from Chelsea on deadline day, but talks for the Santiago Gimenez-Artem Dovbyk swap with Milan cooled again.

We are already into the final 24 hours of the summer transfer session and the Giallorossi still have a lot up in the air.

Their next target is George and Sky Sport Italia claim that negotiations are progressing over the last few hours, hoping to get a deal over the line in time with Chelsea before the deadline.

Meanwhile, the same source also notes that the on-again off-again swap between Dovbyk and Gimenez has hit yet more problems.

It had been heading in a positive direction after multiple reports Gimenez opened the door to the transfer this afternoon.

However, Roma seemed less eager to enact the exchange than Milan, as confirmed by director of sport Frederic Massara yesterday.
