Roma hold key meeting for Milan’s Alexis Saelemaekers | OneFootball

Serie A side Roma have been quite impressed by Alexis Saelemaekers in his loan stint and are trying their best to move for him on a permanent basis.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that new Milan sporting director Igli Tare’s first negotiation as the official holder of the position is to speak to Roma about the Belgian.

Roma’s Florent Ghisolfi, along with two other representatives, met the Rossoneri and the Giallorossi expressed their desire to work on a new agreement for Saelemaekers. There was no option to buy in the loan deal but the parties are happy to potentially strike another deal.

The meeting was only interlocutory and talks are expected to continue in the next few weeks. A second meeting has also been planned and it is said to be an evolving situation, with Roma trying to act quickly. There has been talk of interest from the Premier League already.
