Rick Karsdorp is waging a war against his long-time club, Roma.

The Dutchman was recently excluded from the Giallorossi’s squad list submitted to the Lega Serie A ahead of the start of the new season.

Following Daniele De Rossi’s decision to remove him from team training activities, Karsdorp is now rejecting all incoming offers and forcing his way into Trigoria until the expiry of his contract in a year’s time.

According to Il Messaggero, Karsdorp rejected proposals from AEK Athens and Besiktas in July.

His costly salary (2.2 million euros net) is a major problem for Roma who could be looking at a situation where Karsdorp refuses to leave until free agency in 2025.
