The UEFA A license is the second highest coaching badge available, and in Italy, it allows its holders to take charge of professional youth teams, any women’s team, and any senior men’s side up to Serie C level.

The UEFA Pro license, which is required to take charge of Serie A sides, is the highest level of coaching badge available in Europe.

Among the most recent bunch of graduates were former Bayern Munich star Ribery, who ended his playing career in Italy with Fiorentina and Salernitana. Former Inter captain Samir Handanovic has also qualified. He has been working with Inter’s U17 side as of late.

Former Italy internationals Domenico Criscito and Alessandro Diamanti have also graduated from the most recent FIGC course, as has former Brescia, Sampdoria and Leeds United left-back Gaetano Berardi.

Gianmarco Pioli, son of former Milan coach Stefano, has also passed. He already has experience with the Rossoneri as a video analyst during his father’s tenure.

Gianmarco Pioli and Stefano Cassani both finished the final exam with the highest possible score of 110 out of 110.
