A few days ago, Le Parisien reported that AS Roma’s 18-year-old goalkeeper Renato Marin is set to join Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent in July.
The highly rated teenager has played for Italy at the U19 level but also holds dual citizenship, meaning he could still choose to represent Brazil in the future.
Marin joined Roma’s academy in 2022 but has yet to make his professional debut, instead gaining experience with the club’s reserve team.
He’ll be stepping into a position that already has plenty of depth. However, as Le Parisien points out, that could change significantly in the summer.
Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future remains uncertain, with his contract extension talks stalling and speculation about a potential departure.

Italian media outlet Il Tempo reported the latest regarding the contract details from PSG’s offer for the shot-stopper.
According to their report, PSG offered him a five-year contract worth €600,000 per year, which quickly made the Italian-Brazilian reconsider. After a few days of reflection, he signed with the French club.
Following the face-to-face meeting in mid-December between Marin’s camp and Roma, the situation seemed to be back on track, with plenty of optimism about continuing the partnership.
However, the winter transfer window once again slowed down talks, and that’s when PSG stepped in with an offer too good to refuse. Even an improved bid of €200,000 wasn’t enough to win the head-to-head against the Parisians.
