The Lancers didn’t have an option to make the defender’s move permanent, so Rugani is set to return to Juventus at the end of the season.

The Italian defender’s contract in Turin expires in June 2026, so his agent expects him to play in the Club World Cup with the Old Lady.

“I can say that there are good chances that he’ll play in the Club World Cup with Juventus,” Davide Torchia told TuttoJuve.

“He’s a Juventus player with an ongoing contract, but decisions are up to the coach and those in charge. He’ll be focused on the competition in the USA, and then we’ll act accordingly.”

Rugani’s agent judged his client’s season in Amsterdam as “truly positive” even if the Netherlands giants failed to clinch the title under Italian tactician Francesco Farioli.

Igor Tudor will lead Juventus during the Club World Cup this summer, but the coach’s long-term future at the Allianz Stadium will only be discussed at the end of the competition.

Rugani has already played 148 matches with Juventus, scoring 11 goals and winning six Serie A titles.
