Birmingham City have announced the news that midfielder Jamie Finn has left the club.

Blues revealed the player’s departure via a post on their official club website earlier today.

The 27-year-old Republic of Ireland international was out of contract at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park this summer and she has not signed a new deal with the club.

Finn leaves Birmingham City after spending the last four years with the club. The player joined Blues from SSE Airtricity League Women’s Premier Division side Shelbourne and she made the step up into full-time professional football very well.

In her time at Birmingham City, Finn has represented the club on more than 50 occasions in all competitions. In recent times, the player has had to battle back from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury which has hindered her progress with the Midlands club. Had she been fit, Finn would undoubtedly have made a greater contribution towards Blues’ promotion bids over the last couple of years.

Finn is the 16th player to leave Birmingham City since the end of last season. The club have been busy rebuilding their squad in recent weeks and that theme is likely to continue between now and the start of the 2025/2026 season.
