Repubblica: Milan eye Georgia striker who is top scorer at Euro 2024 | OneFootball

AC Milan have set their sights on striker Georges Mikautadze, a report claims, who is currently the surprise leader of the goalscoring charts at the European Championship.

According to what is being reported by La Repubblica, Milan have Mikautadze on their list of striker targets and they are having to explore other options compared to those who were priority targets.

Romelu Lukaku is very close to joining Antonio Conte’s Napoli as per the report, whilst the Joshua Zirkzee deal remains at a stalemate. Milan are willing to pay the clause and have an agreement on salary, but will not give his agent Kia Joorabchian the €15m requested in commissions.

Thus, Georgia hero Mikautadze is being evaluated and the forward managed three goals and one assist in three group games at Euro 2024, helping his nation qualify for the knockout stages of a major tournament for the first time ever.

However, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Monaco have reached a verbal agreement on personal terms with the 23-year-old striker. Not only that, but they have also sent a proposal to Metz in order to agree on the fee.
