According to Fabrizio Romano, Milan turned down a €25m offer from Napoli for Alex Jimenez, while Fiorentina, Lyon, Roma and Sevilla wanted him on loan.
The 20-year-old is prized for his versatility, able to play on the right or left, as a full-back or in a more advanced role.
A product of the Real Madrid youth academy, the Merengues have the option to buy him back for €12m in 2026, having already missed the €9m slot for 2025.

Romano claims on his YouTube Channel via Tuttomercatoweb that Jimenez has received a lot of interest from numerous clubs this summer.
The party with the most enthusiasm for him is Napoli, who saw him as an alternative to Juanlu Sanchez of Sevilla.
However, Milan turned down the €25m proposal from the Partenopei for Jimenez.
They also rejected reported approaches to take him on loan from Fiorentina, Roma, Olympique Lyonnais and Sevilla.
He made 46 competitive appearances for the Rossoneri last season, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
