Inter Milan star Mehdi Taremi has found refuge in his hometown of Bushehr after escaping from Tehran.
However, per Tuttosport via FCInterNews, he will probably miss the rest of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Mehdi Taremi finally found a way out of Iran’s capital yesterday amid Israel’s airstrikes.
Indeed, he fleed Tehran yesterday to join his family in a safer area after being stuck in the city under siege for days.
Unfortunately, the worsening situation in the region means a return to the pitch looks increasingly unlikely.

Unable to leave Tehran on time, Taremi missed the flight to the United States.
Therefore, he wasn’t part of the Inter squad for the Club World Cup.
Despite leaving the war zone, the 32-year-old will likely watch the rest of the tournament from afar.
Meanwhile, Taremi isn’t the only notable absence in Cristian Chivu’s squad.
Indeed, Marcus Thuram is out after picking up a minor injury against CF Monterrey on day one.
