Inter Milan could make a new attempt to sign Albert Gudmundsson, whose future at Fiorentina hangs in the balance.
Per Il Secolo XIX via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri could reignite their interest in the Icelandic forward this summer.
Despite paying Genoa around €8 million to take Albert Gudmundsson on a season-long loan, Fiorentina may not exercise the buyout option.
Indeed, the 27-year-old had a topsy-turvy campaign in Florence, failing to convince manager Raffaele Palladino.
Only six goals from 24 Serie A appearances are a far cry from Gudmundsson’s outstanding season at Genoa in 2023/24.

Gudmundsson struggled at Stadio Artemio Franchi in 2024/25.
Several fitness setbacks and legal issues in his home country derailed his career in Tuscany.
Therefore, Fiorentina may decide against signing him on a permanent basis this summer.
It would open the door for Inter, who vied for his signature last summer.
With Joaquin Correa and Marko Arnautovic on their way out, Simone Inzaghi is in the market for attacking additions.
As such, Gudmundsson’s name is back in fashion.
