Serie A giants Inter Milan have reportedly joined the race to sign prodigious SPAL winger Emanuele Rao.
According to Sportitalia via FCInterNews, Simone Inzaghi’s men will compete with three bitter rivals for the 18-year-old’s signature.
Indeed, AC Milan, Napoli, and Juventus are part of the chasing pack, with the latter allegedly leading the charge.
All four clubs have contacted SPAL to gather information about the young gun, who’s enjoying a dream debut season.
Despite SPAL’s relegation to Serie A, Rao is having fun in Italy’s third tier, tallying four goals and two assists from 22 league appearances.
Rao’s only 18 and has ample room for improvement.
Therefore, he’d be an investment for the future, but Inter must see off fierce Serie A rivals to capture his signature.
Milan and Napoli have made inquiries, but Juventus’ interest seems the most genuine.
Rao’s primary position is a left-winger, but he can operate anywhere alongside the front line.
Given the teenager’s potential and Serie A’s growing interest, SPAL owners must be rubbing their hands.
However, whether Inzaghi can beat Milan, Napoli, and Juve to his services remains questionable.
