Report – Inter Milan Could Loan Albania Star Out This Summer | OneFootball

Inter Milan could reportedly accept loaning midfielder Kristjan Asllani out before the end of the summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908.

Kristjan Asllani has had three seasons of ups and downs since joining Inter from Empoli in 2022.

However, there has never been any sign of the Albanian international dislodging Hakan Calhanoglu in the holding midfield.

This summer is set to bring a revamp to Inter’s midfield. New coach Cristian Chivu wants to set the team up in a 3-4-2-1 shape with two central midfielders rather than a 3-5-2 with a trio.

But far from handing new opportunities to Asllani, this change-up will only further marginalize the 23-year-old.

Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu has made clear to Asllani that he does not see the Albanian international as suited to either the holding or attacking midfield roles in his new formations.

Therefore, Asllani will not really have a position to play in.

Inter Milan are hoping to sell the 23-year-old, therefore. However, so far the player himself has rejected possible destinations.

Asllani has turned down Real Betis, as he hopes to stay in Serie A. Meanwhile, the Albanian international has also rejected newly-promoted Sassuolo.

Asllani’s hope would be to play for a team competing in the upper half of the Serie A table like Bologna or Fiorentina.

So far, however, neither the Rossoblu nor La Viola have considered meeting Inter’s €18 million asking price for Asllani.

Therefore, the Gazzetta dello Sport report, Inter could open up to the idea of loaning Asllani out.
