Inter Milan will save around €6.1 million their balance sheet by selling Tajon Buchanan to Villarreal.
This according to Italian outlet Calcio e Finanza. They add together the Nerazzurri’s capital gain from the deal as well as the savings on the Canadian’s wages and amortization cost.
Villarreal have agreed a deal with Inter to sign Tajon Buchanan on a permanent basis.
The 26-year-old has already been on loan with the Spanish club over the second half of last season. He joined on loan during the January transfer window.
Nevertheless, Villarreal never lost interest in bringing Buchanan back next season.
The Yellow Submarin were not the only club keen on the former Club Brugge winger’s signature.
The likes of Brentford and Eintracht Frankfurt reportedly eyed up a deal.
Then, Sassuolo had also seemingly been close to signing Buchanan, keeping the Canadian in Serie A.

According to Calcio e Finanza, Buchanan’s book value for Inter is currently €4.9 million.
Meanwhile, Villarreal will reportedly pay around €9 million for the 26-year-old.
Therefore, Inter will make a capital gain of around €4.1 million for Buchanan.
Meanwhile, Calcio e Finanza, Buchanan’s amortization cost and wages next season will add up to around €3 million.
However, the loan fee of €1 million that Villarreal paid in January can be subtracted for that.
In total, the savings for Inter will come to around €6.1 million.
