By now, Galatasaray’s interest in signing Hakan Calhanoglu has become a dominant theme of Inter’s transfer window.

However, Calhanoglu is not the only Inter player who the Turkish champions are thinking of a move for.

Galatasaray are also keen to sign Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

According to the Gazzetta, Galatasaray’s interest in Sommer is more than just a passing consideration.

The Milan-based newspaper report that the Istanbul giants have made the 36-year-old a major target for the summer transfer window.

Moreover, the Gazzetta report, Inter will listen to offers for Sommer.

The Nerazzurri are not in any rush to push the former Bayern Munich keeper out the door.

However, it is no secret that Inter owners Oaktree Capital want to build a younger squad.

Therefore, if Inter could collect a fee for Sommer, it might give them the opportunity to invest in a younger goalkeeper for the future, or put their trust in last summer’s signing Josep Martinez.
