Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is still getting used to his new role, but he is already making suggestions for changes that could improve the team next season.

Even though some current players are unsure about their future with the club, Flick has already named a few players he believes could make the team stronger.

On that note, let’s look at the latest updates on a few players linked with Barcelona:

Barcelona’s offer for Jeremie Frimpong

Flick has recommended Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen as a good fit for Barcelona, and the club has even made an initial offer.

While the offer is much lower than Frimpong’s market value, there is hope that Bayer Leverkusen might consider a deal that includes player exchanges.

Frimpong hasn’t decided about his future yet, but he will make a decision after the Euros. Until then, Barcelona need to come up with a better offer.

Barcelona are interested in Liverpool’s Luis Diaz to strengthen their left wing, but they are not the only ones.

Recent reports have indicated that Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in Diaz as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who has finally moved to Real Madrid.

Despite the strong interest, both clubs face a tough challenge since Liverpool value Diaz at around €75 million.

Joshua Kimmich could leave Bayern

Barcelona are closely watching Joshua Kimmich to boost their midfield.

Initially, it seemed difficult for them to get the player, but now it appears Bayern Munich might let him go if they can sign Joao Palhinha.

Bayern are currently waiting for a reasonable offer for Kimmich, whose contract expires in 2025, which could mean Barcelona might get him for a lower price this summer if Bayern manage to sign Palhinha.

Move for Guido Rodriguez falls through

It was once thought that Real Betis midfielder Guido Rodriguez would join Barcelona, but that deal has now fallen apart.

The contract that the parties had verbally agreed was valid until the end of May, but financial fair play rules and Flick’s arrival influenced the decision to drop the agreement.

Unlike Xavi, who wanted to sign Rodriguez, Flick has different plans for the midfield position.

Vitor Roque might be loaned out

Vitor Roque’s future at Barcelona has been uncertain, and it now looks like he might be loaned out.

Barcelona are considering loaning out either Roque or Marc Guiu because both young forwards would be competing for the backup centre-forward role.

Juventus, with their new manager Thiago Motta, are interested in taking Roque on loan. Meanwhile, Guiu, who had more playing time under Xavi, could be loaned to one of several La Liga clubs interested in him.
