Report: Chelsea target chooses preferred destination as race for £50m rated ace heats up | OneFootball

Chelsea have been dealt a blow with Bournemouth centre back Dean Huijsen said to prefer a summer switch to Spain according to reports.

The Blues are set for another busy summer and are said to be looking at selling seven or eight players to fund their moves in the market.

A striker is thought to be the main priority, although Chelsea are also looking at adding a centre back and a right footed attacker.

Huijsen prefers move to Spain

The Blues have 19-year-old centre back Mamdou Sarr arriving from Strasbourg in the summer, whilst they are also said to be keen on brining Marc Guehi back to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have strong interest in Huijsen, who has a £50m release clause and it’s been reported the Blues have a good relationship with people close to the player.

However, Sky Sport CH have reported the teenager wants to make a summer switch to Spain, with Real Madrid interested in the 19-year-old.

Real Madrid reportedly see Chelsea as their biggest rivals in the race for Huijsen, who made his Spain debut last week and the Spaniard has huge potential.

Huijsen joined Bournemouth last summer from Juventus and has put in a series of impressive performances for the Cherries, who are right in the race to qualify for some form of European football next season.

The centre back has made 27 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring two goals and it’s clear he’s set for a huge move this summer.
