Chelsea are making concrete moves to sign Frank Zambo Anguissa with the midfielder wanting to leave Napoli according to reports.
The Blues are gearing up for another busy summer and could look to fund their moves in the market by selling as many as seven or eight players.
Chelsea face a critical window with the club looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.
One area Chelsea don’t need to strengthen in is midfield with Andrey Santos set to return for a key role in the squad after an impressive loan at Strasbourg.
The Blues also have Dario Essugo arriving this summer after agreeing a deal worth £18.2m with Sporting Lisbon last month.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Tutto Mercato Web the Blues are looking to sign Napoli’s Zambo Anguissa.
The report adds the midfielder wants to leave Napoli this summer to embark on a new challenge and Chelsea have made concrete moves to sign him, with Monaco also interested.
The 29-year-old is under contract with Napoli until 2027 and joined the Serie A outfit from Fulham in the summer of 2022.
Zambo Anguissa has scored six goals and registered four assists in 32 appearances in all competitions, with Napoli embroiled in a fierce title race with Inter Milan.
A move for the Cameroon international seemingly makes very little sense given the number of midfield options Chelsea have at their disposal.

His age also doesn’t fit with the way Chelsea have recruited under the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital ownership.
It’s hard to imagine a midfielder being signed unless one is sold this summer, which whilst unlikely can’t be fully ruled out, but Chelsea would likely go for a young up and coming player with high potential and resale value.
