Chelsea have looked at RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons as they continue their search for a versatile forward according to reports.
The Blues have already signed Liam Delap from Ipswich for £30m, but are looking to add more new faces this summer.
Chelsea are hoping to sign a versatile forward, left winger and centre back to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad ahead of the new season.
Whilst a striker was the main priority and Chelsea moved fast to get Delap in, the Blues are also on the hunt for a versatile forward.
With Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix both set to leave this summer Chelsea need to sign a replacement and have been linked with multiple names.

Hugo Ekitike, Mohammed Kudus and Joao Pedro are players under consideration, but each deal has it’s own complications.
However, it appears there could be another player under consideration and The Guardian have reported Chelsea have looked at Leipzig star Simons.
The Blues have previously been linked with Simons and the Dutch international scored 11 goals and registered eight assists across 33 appearances in all competitions.
Simons can play centrally and on either wing, which makes him a perfect fit for what Chelsea are looking for, but it’s unclear what Leipzig’s asking price would be.
Chelsea were linked with Pedro earlier this summer, but those links went quiet for several weeks, but they are now back again.
The Blues are thought to be huge admirers of Pedro, but face stiff competition from Newcastle for the Brazil international’s signature.
