Rennes reject Bournemouth’s Adrien Truffert offer | OneFootball

Stade Rennais have rejected an offer from Bournemouth for their full-back and captain Adrien Truffert (23), according to a report from Foot Mercato.

As reported by Foot Mercato last month, Bournemouth have turned to Ligue 1 in the search for a new left-back. Their current left-back, Milos Kerkez (21), is expected to join Liverpool during the summer and so the Cherries are anticipating his departure by bringing in a replacement ahead of time.

A bid has even been submitted for Truffert, however, it has been rejected by Rennes. The Breton club are not opposed to the sale of their captain this summer, however, not at any price. It remains to be seen whether the Premier League side will now return with an improved offer. As previously reported, Truffert is not Bournemouth’s only target. Olympique de Marseille left-back Quentin Merlin (23) is also on their radar as they look to bolster their defence.
