Carlos Soler, now on loan from Paris Saint-Germain to West Ham United, likely recognized he needed a fresh start this summer to secure consistent playing time. Watching Spain capture the UEFA Euro 2024 title may have fueled his desire to get back on La Roja’s radar.
During the summer transfer window, several clubs showed interest in Soler, but it was West Ham that secured his loan move on the final day. So far, the 27-year-old midfielder has made 13 total appearances for a West Ham side struggling in 14th place in the Premier League.
In October, Claret and Hugh reported that the Premier League club’s deal for Soler is purely a loan, with no obligation to buy. A senior official at London Stadium confirmed, “Soler is just here on loan with absolutely no obligation for us to buy.”
Given his high wages and the significant fee Paris Saint-Germain would demand, any deal exceeding £1 million would require board approval, making a permanent transfer unlikely.

Fichajes reports that Real Sociedad are preparing their moves for the next summer transfer window and one of the names that has emerged is Soler’s. Nonetheless, the LaLiga side does have a significant hurdle to overcome.
According to the report, PSG have valued Carlos Soler at approximately €20 million, a sum beyond Real Sociedad’s current budget.
The Spanish club’s management have plans to negotiate with the Parisian side for a discount, hoping to capitalize on Soler’s lack of prominence in PSG’s plans.
