A member of the reserve team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Monday undergone a successful surgical procedure.
The player in question? Jeremy de León.
The name of winger De León will of course be a familiar one to those of a Real Madrid persuasion, after the Puerto Rican was repeatedly called upon by Carlo Ancelotti to join the first-team dynamic on away days en route to glory in the Champions League last season.
In the process, the 20-year-old earned for himself the title of good luck charm for Los Blancos.
Safe to say, however, that the early months of the new campaign have not been at all as positive for De León.
Owing to a combination of competition for places and fitness problems, the attacker has struggled to carve out a consistent place for himself in the XI of Castilla boss Raúl.
And, as alluded to above, efforts on the part of the youngster towards as much will now be brought to a temporary pause, too.
This comes after De León was forced under the knife, to repair a serious shoulder injury suffered in training.
Taking to his official social media platforms on Monday, the Puerto Rico international unveiled a photo of himself post-op, looking in high spirits ahead of his road to recovery:
