Real Madrid will be bidding farewell to one of the greatest players to have donned the jersey in Toni Kroos at the end of the season.
The midfield legend confirmed earlier today that he will be retiring from football at the end of the UEFA Euro 2024, meaning he only has two more games left as a Los Blancos player.
A mainstay in the side despite his advanced age, Kroos will be a huge miss for Carlo Ancelotti & co. from next season.
However, as per MARCA (h/t Madrid Xtra), Real Madrid do not intend to sign a new midfielder to replace Kroos in the summer.
Instead, the young duo of Arda Guler and Eduardo Camavinga will stand to receive more minutes in the upcoming campaign once the veteran icon has stepped down.

Camavinga has not started many games when Real Madrid have had a fully fit midfield this season as Ancelotti has often preferred the trio of Federico Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Toni Kroos as starters.
But once Kroos moves on, it should open the doors for Camavinga to have more involvement, while Guler, who has shown his pedigree in recent weeks, would also stand to get more minutes in the coming season.
Not long ago, it was speculated that Kroos would actually sign a new contract and continue for one more season, along with his partner in crime, Luka Modric.
But, the German icon has decided it is the right time for him to call time on his career, paving the way for youngsters like Camavinga and Guler to play more.
