Following their disappointing 1-1 draw against Al-Hilal in their first FIFA Club World Cup game, Real Madrid, led by new manager Xabi Alonso, continue to train in the USA as they prepare to face Pachuca next.
The Merengues will be travelling to Charlotte tomorrow for their second Group H game and as such continued preparations at their Palm Beach base today, hoping to put in an improved performance.
However, according to journalist Arancha Rodriguez, Real Madrid veteran Dani Carvajal did not travel to the training facilities with the rest of the team today.
Instead, the right-back stayed back at the hotel to work with the physiotherapists as he is dealing with neck pain.
Carvajal has only recently resumed training after spending the past eight months out of action due to an ACL injury.

The 33-year-old worked hard on his recovery and rehabilitation to get ready in time for the FIFA Club World Cup but is yet to receive the final green light from the medical department.
Reports have suggested that Real Madrid might not risk rushing Carvajal back in the tournament given his prolonged absence. As such, there is a chance that the captain might not feature at all in the tournament.
For now, though, the Spanish international is not training with the team at the facilities and has stayed back at the hotel to work with the physiotherapists.
Kylian Mbappe, too, is not training with the team as he continues to recover from gastroenteritis.
The good news is that the Frenchman’s condition is understood to be gradually improving and he has been able to do some aerobic exercises today.
