Arda Guler’s wings have been unclipped in these final stages of the season. Despite a difficult start to the season with injuries and lack of game time causing concerns, the Turkish sensation is finally coming into his own.
With Real Madrid officially declared this season’s La Liga title holders, coach Carlo Ancelotti has been entrusting fringe players with increased minutes lately.
And Guler has been one of the players to seize these opportunities best. With two goals in his last two games, his performances are indicative of his growing influence on the team.
Indeed, according to AS (h/t Madrid Zone) Arda Guler is expected to start Real Madrid’s remaining La Liga games against Villarreal and Real Betis, a testament to his impressive form.
Moreover, the Merengues’ coaching staff is reportedly amazed by the level of quality Guler has to offer.
In spite of initially treading carefully with his development as he was drip-fed minutes, the coaching staff values the prodigie’s dedication and consistent displays.

Now, his recent performances have not only justified a starting role in the upcoming encounters but also strengthened his chances of staying put in the Spanish capital this summer.
Reports have argued that Real Madrid have no intention of letting Guler fade into irrelevance after his recent rise to prominence.
He is considered adept at playing both right wing and attacking midfield roles, and can even operate as a central midfielder if needed.
As such, owing to his versatile profile, Guler’s place in the Real Madrid squad appears secure, even with all the attacking reinforcements Los Blancos intends to pursue.
