La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that youngster Endrick is set for a lengthy incoming spell on the sidelines.
Frontman Endrick for his part featured from the off last weekend, as Real Madrid locked horns with Sevilla in the club’s penultimate outing of the campaign.
En route to an eventual 2-0 Blancos triumph, though, the Brazilian was hooked from proceedings by boss Carlo Ancelotti during the 2nd-half.
And now, an insight into precisely why appears to have been provided.
As confirmed in a statement released by Real Madrid on Wednesday, Endrick has suffered an injury in the hamstring of his right leg.
The 18-year-old is therefore set for a spell on the treatment table over the weeks ahead.
And as per Blancos insider José Luis Sánchez, this is likely to prove a lengthy one, amid claims that Endrick has been ruled out for two months.
The attacker will therefore play no part in his side’s upcoming FIFA Club World Cup campaign.
