Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has been left physically decimated by his recent bout of illness.

That’s according to Marca, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the situation.

Frontman Mbappé has of course endured an altogether difficult last week.

After being expected to play a leading role for Real Madrid at the Club World Cup, the Frenchman was instead forced to sit out each of the club’s first two outings in the USA.

This came after Mbappé was struck down by a fever, which at one point left him requiring hospital treatment.

And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, an insight into just how badly affected the 26-year-old has been by the illness has been provided.

As per a report from Marca:

‘The viral process has taken its toll on the Frenchman’s physique, who has lost between four and five kilos and has left him very affected.’
