Kylian Mbappé’s start at Real Madrid has been far from easy since his free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The French forward seems to be facing increasing challenges in Spain.
The 25-year-old endured a difficult debut in El Clásico on October 26, with Real Madrid suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat to Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabéu. Just days later, the struggles continued as Los Blancos were beaten 3-1 by AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League.
On Wednesday, Mbappé had a chance to shine against Liverpool, especially with Vinicius Junior out, giving him a chance to play in his preferred role. However, the match quickly became a nightmare for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.

Despite his tough start with the Spanish side, ESPN FC pundit Shaka Hislop believes Real Madrid didn’t make a mistake in signing Mbappé as a free agent.
“I still think you get the opportunity to sign a player for Kylian Mbappé’s pedigree,” Hislop said. “Real Madrid, more than most clubs, will take that, and Carlo Ancelotti, better than most managers, will figure it out.”
Eventually, the argument about adaptation will no longer hold, and people will start asking if Mbappé’s dream transfer could turn into a nightmare.
