Having phased out most of their veterans from the iconic three-peat era, Real Madrid now harbors an elite core of young players.
Key young talents such as Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga, and Federico Valverde have risen to prominence, notably helping the team reach a Champions League final and triumph in La Liga this season.
But Real Madrid are not done yet and aspires to continue building a squad that combines youth with experience.
After a dominant title victory with Bayer Leverkusen, Florian Wirtz’s stocks are higher than ever, considering his crucial role under Xabi Alonso.
His spectacular strides have earned him links with Real Madrid, as the club strongly contemplates signing him in the 2025 window.
Now, according to MARCA (h/t Madrid Xtra) Real Madrid intend to sign Florian Wirtz using the same procedure they used to sign Aurilien Tchouameni, Camavinga, and Jude Bellingham.

To guarantee a smooth transition into the squad, Real Madrid are implementing a thorough scouting process, while also building a close bond with the player and his representation.
Furthermore, the report states that Los Blancos have already established a close relationship with Wirtz and possesses ample time to secure his signature.
It has been said that Real Madrid’s activity in this transfer window has largely already been pre-determined and thus a move for the 2025/2026 season is far more realistic.
The German has a contract running until 2027 with Bayer Leverkusen and thus his asking price is expected to be slightly lower too by next year.
In addition to eyeing Wirtz, though, Real Madrid continues to keenly watch Xabi Alonso, whom the club aspire to recruit someday down the line.
