In the last few years, the dynamics of the European football market have undergone a radical change. Real Madrid, who were once one of the most powerful forces in this market, are no longer an unchallenged force in pursuit of top football talent, as the financial muscle of some Premier League and state-backed clubs allows them to attract the best talent to their squads.

Adapting to this changing reality, the Merengues have focused more on acquiring world-class youth talents before they become big stars, and this policy has paid dividends for them as stars like Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes have grown to become some of the best footballers in the world after having arrived as unpolished youngsters at the club.

Having tasted such success with their changed transfer policy, Real Madrid have continued to acquire special talents from throughout the world. In this regard, they signed Arda Guler from Turkey last summer, and have also signed another Brazilian, Endrick, who is set to arrive at the Spanish club this summer.

But there are even more talents from Brazil being linked with the club. According to a report from Diario AS, Real Madrid are interested in the Brazilian winger Estevao Willian, who is also known by the nickname Messinho.

The 17-year-old has a release clause of €45 million in his Palmeiras contract which is valid till 2026, but the costs of signing him can rise up to €55 million when the taxes involved are considered. However, the Merengues are currently not seeing him as a priority, and are working more actively on signing the Argentine gem, Franco Mastantuono.
