Having made significant progress in the early weeks of the new summer transfer window, Real Madrid are now staring at a situation where they cannot make a signing unless they sell big.
After all, Dean Huijsen, Franco Mastantuono and Alvaro Carreras all came on massive transfer fees.
The focus, now, is on the exit front as Los Blancos look to balance the books out by letting some big names or prominent figures leave the club.
Needless to say, the FIFA Club World Cup provided a very good idea of who the players who could move on are.
Rodrygo Goes and Dani Ceballos, given their scarce minutes in the United States, are clear options to leave and ESPN provides an update on the latter’s situation.
As relayed by the sports media outlet, the Real Madrid midfielder is no longer resisting a departure and is open to leaving the club.

He clearly understands his situation and position on Xabi Alonso’s pecking order and that he will not see minutes should he look to push and continue at the club.
Despite the manager preferring four midfielders in his setup, the likes of Aurelien Tchouameni, Arda Guler, Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde are ahead of him.
Adding the new signing Mastantuono to that only makes his situation less favourable.
The player has thus thought his future and is open to leaving the club this summer with Real Betis being his preferred destination as it has been in recent years.
With Ceballos looking for a homecoming in Seville, all eyes turn to Los Verdiblancos to see if they have the required means to financially see the deal over the line. After all, that has been a struggle for Real Betis in recent years.
