A once-iconic member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has moved to reveal his admiration for Blancos starlet Arda Güler.

The name of youngster Güler, of course, took its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital once more on Saturday night.

This came after the Real Madrid faithful were afforded their latest glimpse into the remarkable talents boasted by the club’s seldom-seen summer addition.

Handed his third successive starting berth, in Real’s La Liga meeting with Granada, Güler, again, added his name to the scoresheet.

This kept alive the midfielder’s record of a goal every 80ish minutes to this point in the season.

Still just 19, it would certainly appear that the Spanish champions have secured for themselves yet another gem, with Güler’s quick feet, vision, touch and eye for goal looking increasingly likely to catapult him into stardom at the Santiago Bernabéu over the years ahead.

And one individual who appears in no two minds when it comes to the prospect of as much comes in the form of Guti.

Taking to his official ‘X’ account late on Saturday night, Guti, who himself lit up the no.10 position in Madrid for so many years, revealed his head-turning take that Güler, already, ‘is a much better player’ than he was:

“Arda Güler is a much better player than me, without a doubt. Good night”
