Real Madrid leaped above Girona and into top spot in La Liga with a comfortable 3-0 win at Cádiz.

Scorers: Rodrygo 14′, 64′, Bellingham 74′

Real Madrid started the stronger and opened the scoring inside 15 minutes via a brilliant goal from Rodrygo.

The Brazilian danced his way past several defenders before finding space to fire into the top right hand corner of the goal.

Despite having much less of the ball, Cádiz had nearly as many chances as Real but just lacked the finishing touch and ruthlessness of their famous opponents.

Real sealed victory after the hour, and again it was Rodrygo who stepped up and showed out with another stunning strike. From the left, he cut inside and central, jinked past several defenders again and clinically finished into the right hand side of the net.

Rodrygo went from scorer to provider for the third, playing in Jude Bellingham who made no mistake with an excellent left-footed finish. He just can’t stop scoring, can he?

The pressure is now on Girona to respond when they host Athletic Bilbao on Monday night.
