Just three weeks into the new season, Real Madrid have been swept with a wave of injury problems in the squad.
Indeed, Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham, Dani Ceballos, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Ferland Mendy have all picked up injuries since the season started while David Alaba has been out since last December.
On Thursday night, Real Madrid were dealt another setback as key centre-back Eder Militao also suffered an injury while away with the Brazil national team.
Despite the growing injury list, there appears to be some good news around the corner for Real Madrid.
Indeed, according to journalist Mario Cortegana, Real Madrid’s plan is to call up three of the injured players – Bellingham, Mendy, and Tchouameni, for next week’s La Liga clash against Real Sociedad.

Mendy’s return for the game is anticipated but there were suggestions that the club could be more cautious with Tchouameni.
As for Bellingham, it was suggested that his return could take place towards the end of September.
But now, Real Madrid expect the trio to be fit for the next game against Sociedad and the plan is for them to be called up for that encounter at the Reale Arena.
While Real Madrid expect to recover the aforementioned three players by next weekend, the plan with Eduardo Camavinga is for him to be back by the end of September or early October.
The French midfielder has been out since just before the UEFA Super Cup clash and was expected to be out of action for two months.
But his recovery is progressing well and as such, there is a possibility that he could be back before the end of this month.
