La Liga giants Real Madrid were dealt a blow on the personnel front during the club’s latest outing on Wednesday.
Los Blancos of course marked their return to action last night, making the trip to France for a Champions League meeting with LOSC Lille.
When all was said and done, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops had endured an evening to forget, stuttering their way to an eventual 1-0 defeat.
And yet, as alluded to above, the eventual result at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy represented far from Real’s only concern on Wednesday.
In addition, the Spanish champions were dealt a setback on the injury front.
As revealed by Blancos insider Guillermo Rai of The Athletic, Éder Militão, withdrawn during the 2nd-half of action, departed proceedings with a thigh issue.
His status for this weekend’s La Liga meeting with Villarreal, in turn, is considered as being up in the air.
Militão is expected to be put through a round of medical tests later today.
